With a strong heritage in Tampa Bay and the surrounding area, Capstone Tropical Holdings (CTH) operates the residential, commercial, and property management divisions for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group, as well as Capstone Title and Capstone Insurance. It is our mission to utilize our world-class team of professionals and systems to guide people in making great real estate and financial decisions. Also included in our family of companies are Preferred Lending Services and Tropical Realty Referrals.
We offer a full complement of solutions to meet the changing needs of today’s consumers including residential and commercial real estate services, residential and commercial property management, title and closing services, mortgage services, relocation, auction, REO, new homes solutions, property and casualty insurance.
Our Leadership
Capstone Tropical Holdings was founded in 1959 and has built a legacy of strong relationships, integrity, and long-term growth. The company has gained respect by adapting and moving forward with purpose.
At the center are partners and lifelong friends Dewey Mitchell and Allen Crumbley. Teammates under Coach Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama’s 1978 Championship, they bring discipline, teamwork, and accountability to every aspect of the business. For them, Capstone is more than a company; it’s a family.
In 2018, Casey Bryan joined as Regional Market President, bringing energy, experience, and a people-first approach. Her impact was immediate, and in 2020, she became President. Since then, Casey has guided Capstone’s growth and culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Today, Capstone Tropical Holdings honors its history and builds for the future, guided by strong leadership, shared values, and a commitment to growth.

Community & Charity Involvement
Giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of Capstone Tropical Holdings. It goes hand in hand with our core values – teamwork, integrity, passion, and excellence. As a company, we plan multiple events supporting worthy causes each year. Also, our employees and affiliates individually offer their support to countless organizations on a personal level. Two organizations that are especially dear to us are The Sunshine Kids and Metropolitan Ministries, and we host multiple annual events in support of both.
Sunshine Kids Clay Shoot
Our annual Clay Shoot is a day to enjoy friends, shoot some clay, and raise money for children with cancer across the country. We’ve raised upwards of $20,000 each year for the Sunshine Kids and we are honored to be able to do that!
The Cabernet Sleigh
Each holiday season our offices join in on a food and toy collection to support Metropolitan Ministries. Then, Allen and Dewey rent a large U-Haul truck dubbed the “Cabernet Sleigh” to go pick up the donations collected by each of our offices.
The Fun N Sun Trip
For over 20 years, we have led an annual trip to Orlando called “Fun N Sun”. This event brings kids in from across the country to enjoy a week of fun in the sun at the Orlando theme parks and attractions, including Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Disney World!
Be The Sunshine
We truly believe that together we are better, so twice a year each of our offices chooses a worthy cause and then spends a day together supporting it. From beach cleanups to food banks, our team loves to give back to the communities in which we serve.
